AutoOrg

The research activity in the Device Physics Group of the "Laboratoire de Photonique et de Nanostructures" aims at developing new fundamental plasmonic concepts and their applications in two main domains: (1) infrared detectors and imaging and (2) solar photovoltaics.

AutoOrg Nanophotonics and plasmonics: fundamental properties

Experimental, technological, conceptual and numerical tools are developped to adress unsolved fundamental problems of the nanophotonic domain, more specifically of plasmonics.

Based on our fundamental studies of light matter interactions in metal-semiconductor nanostructures, development of two device oriented axes:

AutoOrg Infrared detection and imaging

New concepts and innovative devices for infrared detection and imaging, as nanostructured spectral infrared filters, infrared quantum detectors and bolometers.

AutoOrg Photovoltaics

Efficient light absorption in ultra-thin solar cells. III-V based demonstrators of ultra-thin solar cells are developped before to be applied to low cost systems as a-Si, CIGS and organics.

We have developped a close collaboration with ONERA/DOTA for plasmonics studies and infrared applications.

Our research group is a part of the "Fédération de Recherche du Photovoltaïque Francilien" (CNRS FR 3393), working together with (IRDEP), (LPICM), (LGEP), and (ILV).
