At micro and nanometer scales, light-matter interactions offer a large panel of peculiar effects. NanoPhotonIQ Group gathers specialists on nonlinear and quantum optics, optomechanics, neuromimetic photonics and nanotechnology design, fabrication & characterization, addressing light-matter interactions and theirs applications, in hybrid, coupled and active systems, including photonic crystals, micropillar & waveguide arrays and other photonic networks. An overview of NanoPhotonIQ Group's research:

NoLiPhot NoLiPhot : Nonlinear photonics in semiconductor micro and nano-structures
Nonlinear physics and dynamics of photonic semiconductor micro and nano-structures for innovative and integrated optical functionalities.
Sandwich" Sandwich : Hybrid nanophotonics for ultimate light-matter interactions and optoelectronics devices.
Our research activity is focused on the exploration of light-matter interactions in III-V semiconductor/Silicon hybrid nanostructure and their exploitation for the achievement of smaller, smarter, faster optoelectronic components.
Optomeca" Optomeca : Optomechanics in photonic crystals
Investigation and applications of optical forces at nanocale in suspended semiconductor membranes pierced by two-dimensional photonic crystals.
Guidon Guidon : Discrete photonics in functionalized coupled waveguide arrays: Guidonics
We design, fabricate, and operate coupled waveguide arrays in which the patterning of the coupling constant enables us to manipulate the classical or quantum flow of light. This leads to novel all-optical functions and provides a route for on-chip quantum state manipulation.
ActiBio ActiBio : Active Nanophotonics for biological and molecular systems
Design, fabrication and optical characterization of photonic nanostructures -such as photonic crystals and plasmonic devices- to enhance the excitation and/or emission of fluorescent molecules and bio-markers.
FewPhotons FewPhotons : Few photon sources
Light-matter interaction at nanoscale, for the engineering of sources of quantum light states and nanolasers.
