Puce 10th International Workshop On Low Temperatures Electronics (WOLTE10)

The LPN co-organizes the 10th International Workshop On Low Temperatures Electronics (WOLTE10), October 14-17, 2013, Paris, France

Puce Polaritons in a one-dimensional periodic potential: condensation in solitonic gap states (Nature Communications, Apr. 2013)

LPN researchers have investigated polariton condensation in a 1D periodic potential. They have observed interaction induced localization and demonstrate spontaneous formation of gap soliton states.

Puce Non-linear Josephson oscillations observed between two coupled polariton condensates (Nature Physics, Apr. 2013)

Taking advantage of the strong polariton non-linearities LPN researchers have observed anharmonic Josephson oscillations and macroscopic self-trapping in a double well potential etched in a semiconductor microcavity.

Puce An Ultrabright solid state source of indistinguishable single photons (Nature Communications, Jan. 2013)

LPN researchers have fabricated ultrabright solid state sources of indistinguishable single photons by inserting a quantum dot in an optical microcavity.
Bright solid-state sources of indistinguishable single photons, Nature Communications 4, 1425 (2013)

Puce Presentation of the RTB network, 29 March 2013

LPN and IEF organise the users’ meeting of the RTB network, 29 March 2013, at Marcoussis

Puce LPN co-organizes the 3rd French Symposium on Emerging Technologies for micro-nanofabrication (JNTE'13), May 21-23, Evian, France.

JNTE objective: to focus on emerging technologies for micro-nanofabrication, from fundamentals to complex integration techniques. Topics: Synthesis and integration of new materials - Self-assembly, surface functionalization - Etching processes - Lithography - Integration of technologies...
On-line submission is now open.

Puce International Workshop "Out-of-equilibrium dynamics of 1D condensates"

Isabelle Bouchoule from LCFIO and Alberto Amo from LPN organise the workshop "Out-of-equilibrium dynamics of 1D condensates". Financed by Triangle de la Physique, it will take place at Institut d'Optique, May 16 and 17, 2013.

Puce Epitaxial Graphene on 4H-SiC(0001) Grown under Nitrogen Flux: Evidence of Low Nitrogen Doping and High Charge Transfer (ACS Nano, Nov. 2012)

Nitrogen doping of graphene is of great interest for both fundamental research to explore the effect of dopants on a 2D electrical conductor and applications such as lithium storage, composites, and nanoelectronic devices.

Puce 2012 CNRS silver medal awarded to Jean-Christophe Harmand

Silver Medal of the CNRS distinguishes a researcher for the originality, the quality and the importance of his work, recognized nationally and internationally.
Along with his collegues of LPN, Jean-Christophe Harmand has devoted his research to semiconductor nanowires since 2005.

Puce Polariton condensates reveal magnetic monopole behaviour (Nature Physics, Nov. 2012)

Researchers of LPN have shown that magnetic monopole analogues can be nucleated in a polariton condensate in semiconductor microcavities.

Puce Optical non-linearity for few-photon pulses in a quantum dot/pillar cavity device (PRL, Oct. 2012)

Puce Large-Area and High-Quality Epitaxial Graphene on Off-Axis SiC Wafers (ACS Nano 2012)

Graphitization of SiC vicinal: A step toward Graphene technology.

Puce A step towards the knowledge of electricity quantum laws (Nature Physics 2011)

What are the quantum laws of electricity in mesoscopic circuits? That is the question that raise the Quantum Transport group at the LPN.

Puce Pascale Senellart, ERC Starting Grant awarded in 2011

For the research project 'QD-CQED' (A quantum dot in a cavity: A solid state platform for quantum operations).

Puce Frédéric Pierre, ERC Starting Grant awarded in 2010

For the research project 'NANOSPEC' (Novel Out-of-Equilibrium Spectroscopy Techniques to Explore and Control Quantum Phenomena in Nanocircuits).

Puce Frédéric Pierre, CNRS Bronze Medalist for 2008

The CNRS Bronze Medal recognizes a researcher's first work, which makes that person a specialist with talent in a particular field. This medal is a way for the CNRS to encourage the researcher to continue work that has met with initial success and already produced fruitful results.

Puce The French Physics Society (Société Française de Physique) awards the Yves Rocard Prize for 2007 to Jacques Gierak

The Yves Rocard Prize was created in 1992. It rewards successful technology transfers between a research laboratory and a company.

Puce Jacques Gierak, CNRS Cristal medalist for 2003

The CNRS Cristal Prize, started in 1992, honors each year engineers, technical and administrative staff.

Puce Anne Pépin, CNRS Bronze Medalist for 2003

The CNRS Bronze Medal recognizes a researcher's first work, which makes that person a specialist with talent in a particular field. This medal is a way for the CNRS to encourage the researcher to continue work that has met with initial success and already produced fruitful results.

Puce Dominique Mailly, CNRS Silver Medalist for 2002

The CNRS Silver Medal honors researchers who are only at the beginning of their rise to fame, but who are already recognized nationally and internationally for the originality, quality, and importance of their work.
